CBD Crystals. What Are They And How Do You Use Them?

By Diana Morales

CBD crystals are isolated and purified extractions of the cannabis compound. Normally, hemp and other cannabis-based extracts contain at least trace amounts of other plant molecules. This includes other cannabinoids related to CBD as well as aroma molecules called terpenes. Terpenes are responsible for the distinct aromas cannabis and hemp plants provide.
These terms are used to refer to an isolated form of cannabidiol called CBD isolate. By further processing an existing cannabis extract, the cannabidiol molecule is isolated as a crystalline substance, most often sold in a powdered form. High-quality isolate is often concentrated at levels of 95-99% CBD.

In the same way as other cannabis derivatives, CBD Crystral can be used to improve your health as well as to enjoy and expand your CBD knowledge. You  can use CBD crystals to create your own CBD products like edibles and creams. CBD isolate crystals are all natural and highly purified. They do not contain any other plant material from the plant other than the isolated cannabinoid CBD.

What is it made of?

Typically, CBD crystals contain between 98 and 99 percent isolated CBD. Similar products have been created using the primary psychoactive in the cannabis plant, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
They are harvested from hemp plants that contain high levels of CBD. The CBD-rich plant extract is heated, cooled, and separated repeatedly. During the final cycle, chemists insert a seed blanket into the solution, place it in a cool, dark area, and use a vacuum pump to remove contaminants. The crystals soon begin to grow. The separation process continues until the crystals contain 98 to 99 percent isolated CBD.

Ways to use CBD Crystals

There are a few easy ways in which you can use CBD crystals. You may eat them, dab them, apply them topically, blend them into oil for tinctures, or dissolve them into e-liquids. Five common uses of CBD crystals include:

1.Edibles.

Probably the main reason that people prefer CBD crystals over CBD oil is that you can basically cook with them however you please. You can add them to cookies, brownies, sprinkle them into your tea or coffee or bake with them. All of these are incredibly tasty (and convenient) ways to get a potent CBD dose.

One drawback of ingesting crystals in edibles is that you may experience a delay in effects. It is more difficult to predict effects and timing when CBD crystals are eaten, because every person’s digestive system absorbs at different rates. This difficulty could make it more challenging for you to determine an appropriate serving size for yourself.

2.CBD Crystals for Dabbing/Vaping/E-liquids.

CBD crystals can be dabbed using an oil rig or wax vaporizer just like any other cannabis concentrate. The major difference is that these crystals won’t cause a high. Instead, expect a fast sense of calm and possibly a slight but comfortable energetic uplift.

Dabbing is recommended only for consumers who have experience with this activity and are accept the risks of this form of smoking.

3.OilI Tinctures.

Another way to use CBD crystals is to dissolve them into an oil for an oil tincture. This option is one of the most common ways to combine two CBD products in one shot.  To achieve a standard potency of ten percent, mix one gram of crystals with ten milliliters of olive, coconut, or hemp seed oils. Seal and place it in a hot water bath between 122 and 140 degrees F for up to ten minutes. Bottle the oil tincture in amber or opaque glass and store it in a cool, dark place to make it last. To administer a serving, use a dropper to release two to four drops under your tongue.

4.CBD Crystals for your Skin Routine.

As a potent antioxidant, CBD is thought to be great for the skin. CBD isolates can be melted into carrier oil like coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, or another favorite skin care oil. These oils can then be applied topically as a lotion or serum.

5.Drop it Under Your Tongue

One of the faster and simplest way to take an isolate is to drop it right under your tongue as a sublingual. This method of ingestion is known to be more bioavailable than swallowing CBD, meaning less of the precious substance passes through the body unused. Simply drop your desired amount of isolate under your tongue and hold it there for 60-90 seconds. Wash it down with some water or juice and you're good to go.
